Prologue: Roads through the Hunter Valley have become dangerous lately. Several campsites have been found abandoned with merchant goods and traveller’s gear left untouched.

The safety of the eastern trade route is questioned when reports of disappearances along the King’s Way reaches the City of Blackrock. Responding to a request from the Silver River Trading Company, the party are hired to find the missing merchants.

Shadow Beyond the Firelight is a macabre one-shot adventure of mystery and terror. Can the party discover how the merchants and travellers vanished? Why did they leave their trade goods and belongings behind? Have the guards and local militia given up on the investigation? What is the strange smell that lingers around the campsite?
