Prologue: This scenario confronts the Player-knights with the grim reality of the political situation following King Nanteleod’s death at Netley Marsh. King Cerdic of Wessex is ready to make his play for Salisbury as he seeks to build his own Cymric-Saxon coalition and begin his march toward the High Kingship like his father Vortigern before him.
During this scenario’s events, the young Player-knights experience their first close encounter with the bloody press of battle as they turn to a former adversary to strike an unexpected alliance.
