Prologue: Join your local Neighbourhood Watch and help keep the community safe from things that go bump in the night. You’ll be on the front line, keeping an eye out for ‘weird and spooky stuff’ that never makes the news.
Up north, things have been calm. New estates are going up in the Gungahlin area, parks are filling with families, and the only real complaints have been the usual—traffic, construction noise, and the occasional swooping magpie… though that’s not meant to happen this time of year.
Lately, though, people have started to notice patterns. Birds gathering where they shouldn’t. Pets refusing to go outside. Shapes moving just beyond the streetlights. It’s probably nothing. It’s always probably nothing.
Until it isn’t...
